your style...

is so distinctive dude.
I absolutely love these characters. they are so alien yet they ooze with energy and life. they are so absurd and homely that they are grotesque and beautiful. and whats great is that you don't even need to add so much detail to them to get the message across, they are so simply constructed yet so unique. do you actually have a comic series with these monsters yet?

Mosamabindrawin responds:

Thankyou so much!
Finally someone who can appreciate something DIFFERENT!
I was getting so many low blow scores i was just beginning to upload art to newgrounds to piss the 'boring-art' lovers off.

and YES i do have a comic coming out! There's already 30+ pages but i havent uploaded any yet- its coming soon to snafu webcomics! It should be up within a month hopefully!

eh...needs some work...

first thing I noticed was the face, it looks more like the face of a male anime style character, and the hair doesn't this help either. also the tail looks really awkward, I think it should start at the very end of the backbone. either way it shoulden't squirrel upward like that quickly anyway.

Sevens responds:

thanks for checking them out oh and I checked out your work too.
thanks for you advice.... doesn't help to let you know.

dude I'm sure this painting is great

but this photo is terrible, especially when you use flash on something reflective like gold leaf. can't really say anything about the painting until you get a better picture.

Sevens responds:

yeah i was on the go, I sell art on the streets of nyc and just took the pic the best i could with the shitty cam i had and bad lighting,
but yeah it is a beautiful painting, that's why i don't have it anymore.
oh another thing sorry that you cannot see the image, but if anyone else is having the same problem as dude, my bad just deal with what you can see- not my fault if your blind

interesting

THe washes that make up the background are nice, Being able to see the canvas texture helps it, but I think the greenish golds could have been distributed better, perhaps split into more smaller sections between other washs. I really like the main black designs but I think it should be darker so that it's almost totally black, then maybe use a chromatic black or paynes grey to add finishes of really subtle color to the edges .

hope that helps

Butzbo responds:

Well you got a point with the coloring, is kind of unbalanced, thanks for the feedback ;)

Fantastic!

I absolutely love those shapes! I also love how the hands seem to mirror each other and still mange to maintain the flow of the whole. the yellowish color of the paper is a nice touch as well.

XxCrimsonMoonxX responds:

Thank you very much! I'm very happy with how it turned out and I'm glad you do to.^^ I thought the yellowish tint would give the picture a good quality. I'm glad you like it. =3

not much into abstract minimalism

but I do love the downward movement going on, as well as the colors in that pedestal looking shape near the bottom.

lovely!

simply gorgeous.
excellent choice of retro colors. particularly love the razor sharp hair doo. this is exactly what a good character design looks like.

very clean and professional looking

interesting concept too. I think the colorful one could use some more of those metallic sheens on her legs and the monochrome guy could use some darker blacks. but other than that I could definitely see these published in like a concept art book or something. also what kind of colored pencils did you use? Prismacolors?

megawolf77 responds:

Thanks for the comment! And yeah, I guess I should probably add more shades on them. I was aiming for a heavy contrast between the two. I used the Faber-Castell brand of colored pencils.

Thanks, again! I'll keep on practicing.

interesting stlye

I do like the style, you can see some anime influence but not enough to render it obnoxious.
the subject matter is really fucking creep though, not quite shocking but close, which is interesting cuz of the cutesy style it's drawn in. their expressions look very genuine and charming, Beetlejuice is close, I feel he could look more twisted and perverse. other than that I say develop the idea, ink it and color it. if you do that then I say it could look better than the usual shadman.

SugarSweetVenom responds:

Thank you for your honesty, it's quite refreshing to actually get some feedback instead of a mark down with no explanation. I almost want to laugh, I'm shipping a relationship between a middle aged corpse and an underage girl ( not to mention the fact he's tickling her with his tentacles ) do I honestly have to make the picture even more creepy and perverse than it already is??? I'm not one to draw pornographic images, so even though it is a bit suggestive I tried to make it endearing as hard as that may seem. Originally it was supposed to be his tongue, but that was a bit too kinky for my taste. I'm planning on doing so, I might even add or remake the picture all together. Expect more BJ x LD art to come in the future and thank you again for the lovely comment ;3 .

needs some work...

but is otherwise on the way to being an interesting drawing.
however the whole unfinished concept seems to be taken a little incorrectly if you ask me, if the story behind said character is that she is not completely built make it look like it, just making the piece look unfinished does not make it any deeper at all, it just makes the drawing ugly and makes you look lazy. if I were a group moderator I wouldn't accept it in the stage it is currently in anyway.
If I may make a suggestion, I think that by making her left and face arm actually look more mechanical and less finished then yeah, it would definitely look a lot better. hell this would absolutely splendid if colored, tell me if you actually get around to doing that I would like to see that.

peppypippy32 responds:

thanks again for the comments on this one and my other artwork :) really helpful feedback

hello, you have reached my Newgrounds post, an extension to my base on DeviantArt. I don't do much here other than find tunes, submit some art, and occasionally give a piece of mind every once and a while. I'm much more active on DA though.
