I woulden't call it metroid...

More like inspired by it.
very awesome use of the synths gives it an awesome mechanical motif....

on thing I would like to note is that the exactly like the one usesynth pad at :13 sounds exactly like the one used in the game, gives it a much more genuie tone. ;)

Better than the original!

I vaugely remember the original tune, but this would have be better suited for the game. I'm entranced by the reverberating synths, gives the song an almost angelic melody.

Different....

This version sets a alternate mood that the original conveyed.
This is much more techno, so it gives it an somewhat mighty mechanical aura, I particularly liked the blips starting at :30

Hands Down the best Kraid remix on NG!
I loved the version in meriod Zero Mission. but this is even better!
What makes the song so great is the awesome mechanical beat, but the added slams, buzzes,and twitchs amplifies the terror that is the lower brinstar.
